Our work at NISA grows through everyday interactions — batches starting, women returning, circles forming and small celebrations of courage. Here are a few moments and milestones from our centre in Jodhpur. नीसा का काम रोज़मर्रा की मुलाकातों से आगे बढ़ता है — नए बैच शुरू होते हैं, महिलाएँ वापस आती हैं, चर्चा के छोटे-छोटे गोले बनते हैं और साहस के छोटे उत्सव मनाए जाते हैं। यहाँ जोधपुर स्थित हमारे केंद्र की कुछ झलकियाँ और पड़ाव हैं।
Project Atmanirbhar began with a simple but important step — listening to women. Through conversations across low-income neighbourhoods, we heard their aspirations for home-based work, safe income and skill-building that respects their reality. The project is our first structured response to those conversations.
प्रोजेक्ट आत्मनिर्भर की शुरुआत एक सरल लेकिन गहरी प्रक्रिया से हुई – महिलाओं को ध्यान से सुनने से। कम आय वाले मोहल्लों में हुई बातचीतों में बार-बार यह सामने आया कि महिलाएँ घर से काम करना चाहती हैं, सुरक्षित आय चाहती हैं और ऐसा कौशल प्रशिक्षण चाहती हैं जो उनकी ज़िंदगी की परिस्थितियों का सम्मान करे। यह प्रोजेक्ट उन आवाज़ों के प्रति हमारा पहला संगठित जवाब है।
Our first meeting brought women together to share their stories, fears and hopes. Many spoke openly about early school dropout, unsafe work and the desire to earn without leaving their children behind.
पहली बैठक में महिलाएँ एक साथ बैठीं और उन्होंने अपनी कहानियाँ, डर और उम्मीदें साझा कीं। कई महिलाओं ने जल्दी स्कूल छोड़ने, असुरक्षित काम और बच्चों को घर में छोड़कर बाहर जाने की चिंता के बारे में खुलकर बात की, और घर से सम्मानजनक कमाई की इच्छा जताई।
Based on what women asked for, we started sewing and crochet batches. More than 80 women enrolled in the early phase, many of them touching a sewing machine or hook for the first time.
महिलाओं की मांग के आधार पर सिलाई और क्रोशे के बैच शुरू किए गए। शुरुआती चरण में 80 से अधिक महिलाएँ जुड़ीं, जिनमें से कई ने पहली बार मशीन या क्रोशे हुक को हाथ लगाया।
For women who could not complete school, we began a small literacy circle. Reading signboards, filling forms and helping children with homework became shared goals.
जिन महिलाओं की पढ़ाई बीच में छूट गई थी, उनके लिए एक छोटा साक्षरता सर्कल शुरू किया गया। बोर्ड पढ़ पाना, फ़ॉर्म भर पाना और बच्चों की पढ़ाई में मदद करना सबके साझा लक्ष्य बन गए।
Several women approached us during moments of marital crisis and legal confusion. With support sessions and referrals, over 35 women have received guidance and a space to think through their options.
कई महिलाएँ वैवाहिक संकट और कानूनी उलझनों के समय हमारे पास आईं। सहायक बातचीतों और मार्गदर्शन के माध्यम से अब तक 35 से अधिक महिलाओं को कानूनी जानकारी और अपने विकल्पों पर शांतिपूर्वक सोचने का अवसर मिला है।
Our centre has slowly become more than a training space. For many women, it is also a place to breathe, speak freely and ask questions they have held back for years. Skill classes sit alongside conversations about health, children, work and safety.
हमारा केंद्र धीरे-धीरे केवल प्रशिक्षण की जगह से अधिक बन गया है। कई महिलाओं के लिए यह वह स्थान है जहाँ वे थोड़ी राहत महसूस कर सकती हैं, खुलकर बोल सकती हैं और वे सवाल पूछ सकती हैं जिन्हें वर्षों से भीतर दबा रखा था। कौशल की कक्षाओं के साथ-साथ स्वास्थ्य, बच्चों, काम और सुरक्षा पर बातचीत भी यहाँ की रोजमर्रा का हिस्सा है।
We are expanding our work in phases — strengthening sewing and crochet, gradually adding embroidery and cosmetology, and building clearer pathways between training and real orders. Future events will focus on production readiness, financial literacy and women-led micro-units.
हमारा काम चरणबद्ध तरीके से आगे बढ़ रहा है — सिलाई और क्रोशे को मजबूत करते हुए धीरे-धीरे कढ़ाई और ब्यूटी कौशल जोड़ना, और प्रशिक्षण से वास्तविक ऑर्डर तक के रास्ते को और स्पष्ट बनाना। आने वाले कार्यक्रमों में उत्पादन की तैयारी, वित्तीय साक्षरता और महिलाओं द्वारा संचालित माइक्रो-यूनिट्स पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा।
